Dhal Soup

Dhal Soup (6 Servings)

Ingredients
Masoor dhal ½ cup
Chopped onion ½ cup
Milk 1 cup
Flour 1 tsp
Tomato pieces ½ cupWater 3 cups
PepperAginomoto (optional) ¼ tspTo fry in oil
Onion finely chopped 3 tspButter 1 tsp
Method
Cook together in a pressure cooker 3 cups water, the tomato, dhal and onion. Drain the soup, and add to it the dhal which has been mashed and strained through a sieve.Saute the finely chopped onion in butter until it is golden and add the flour. Remove from fire and blend in milk until it forms a smooth paste. Return it to the fire mix in the soup. Taste for salt. Blend in pepper and aginomoto.
